A bit about happiness

Posted by: andrea tomkins In: Links and other procrastination

One of my very favourite blogs is called the Happiness Project. It’s written by Gretchen Rubin, who’s working on a book about happiness and how we can become happier people. Her insights (and the comments that follow her posts) often make me feel better for reading them. You must check out this post about the […]

… that is, a tin pickle like this one please. Funny, i’ve always believed that it was a German tradition to hang a pickle on the Christmas tree. Turns out I may be wrong. Share the post “Dear Santa, please send me a pickle” FacebookTwitterGoogle+PinterestLinkedInE-mailReddit

Inspiration

Secret Agent Josephine is one of my favourite bloggers. She is a great photographer and is wonderfully creative. Well, she’s done it again. Check out the printable/sharable Christmas cards she designed. There are two in the series so far. Here’s the first, and here is the second! The Obligatory Blurb

My name is Andrea and I live in the Westboro area of Ottawa with my husband Mark and our two daughters Emma (18) and Sarah (16). I am the managing editor of our community newspaper, the Kitchissippi Times. I am a longtime Ottawa blogger, and I've occupied this little corner of the WWW since 1999... which makes me either a total dinosaur or a veteran, I'm not sure which! The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I'm passionate about healthy living, arts and culture, family travel, great gear, good food, and sharing the best of Ottawa for families. I also love vegetables, photography, gadgets, and great design.
