Today = rain

Posted by andrea in: Misc. life|Photography

It’s raining. Again. Normally I like rain. Sometimes it can even be said that I LOVE rain. I have been known to run through the rain with a smile, face raised up to the clouds. I was caught in unexpected downpours two days running. One of these days I arrived home totally soaked, as if someone had thrown me into a lake.

Of course it goes without saying that it didn’t rain yesterday – the one day I finally thought to bring an umbrella with me.

I feel differently about the rain today. I’ve had just about enough. Sure, the garden is looking green. Sure, the rainbarrel is full. Sure, the birds and squirrels and other creatures have lovely puddles to splash around in. But I’m starting to grow weary of all that is wet.

Oh, and I’m chaperoning a school trip today, one that would have been ten times more fun had it been sunny. We’re taking a tour of the downtown on a double-decker bus. Oh man. Wish me luck!

Speaking of road trips, here is a shot I took on our way home from Montreal on our last family road trip. I love it. It reminds me of what it’s like being a kid.
