On November 15 Emma officially turned 7 1/2 years old.
There are no gifts on these “half-birthdays” of ours. There are no balloons (can’t do half a balloon!) and there is no party. We just get half a cake and sing half of “Happy Birthday.” It’s a small thing, but the girls love it. AND it gives us a fantastic excuse to eat carrot cake.
Everyone gets one whole piece of cake, not a half-piece. :)

That is really great to celebrate the half birthday, kinda makes the year not seem so long. And who wouldn’t love a peice of carrot cake??
