summery days seem to run together now

 activity for a summery day

Get out the bucket, add warm water and dish soap, toss in a couple of sponges and get the kids to wash their bikes. They go faster when they’re shiny. I swear.

Yesterday we watched Cyberchase on PBS, did the bike wash, went to the grocery store and two “don’t touch anything in here” kind of stores, went for a bike ride and to the park, played outside, and finished the day with a dinner of French toast, sliced fresh peaches, and maple syrup. And then we went for a walk in the setting sun. In between all of this we tidied the basement and did multiple loads of laundry. If you ask me, it was a very nice, typical, summer day.
