~Tangent alert~

What is “woot”? I fear I may have missed something somewhere along the line. This expression of happiness appears to be cropping up in more and more on-line places, but it seems to be a recent phenomenon… and I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say it out loud.
Is it an acronym? How did this get adopted as the semi-official celebratory word of the internet?
Please enlighten… or don’t. :)

I suppose I could have looked that up myself, but I thought I’d consult you, the very person who first explained to me what :) signified, sometime in the year 1995.

This weekend? I volunteered to work on Saturday, to help cover a vet bill. And because it’s fun to work at the store on a busy day. But before then it’s Yard Sale for the Cure Day! Woohooo! And, I’d like to hit the Leslieville Tree Festival with Josie and pick up some plants. After, the dog park.

On Sunday we have a birthday party where I got the little guy something that will make him lose his shit. I’m really looking forward to that – he’s really into the movie Labyrinth, and I found the Jareth figurine for him. He doesn’t even know such a thing exists! Then I have a grown up dinner party with dog park people, where we plot our revenge against the city for treating us as second-class citizens. Muahahahaha.

It looks like a fantastic garden. And that is exactly what I plan on doing this weekend….get outside (now that it has finally stopped raining) and do some yard work. I really enjoy gardening.
