Milkweed in macro

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Photography

It’s after 10:00 a.m. and I haven’t done a stitch of work yet. The girls are off at camp, Mark is at work, and I thought about the reams of things I could/should/would normally be doing as I drank my coffee in the backyard … but I spied a few things worth photographing before I launched into anything serious, namely, the milkweed:

There. I feel better now.

Beautiful!

I have been walking around in the same circle for the last hour-so much to do, but not sure where to start. All I have done is pour milk/juice, spoon jell-o, and cut fruit.
I need some inspiration!

I’m uninspired but relaxed. For me that is awesome. I want to feel numb this entire summer, hey maybe I’m content???
Is that milkweed? I thought milkweed was those white pods of seeds.

Relaxed is good!
(And the flower is what happens before the pod with the blowy seeds.)
