The annual Raking of the Forest

The annual Raking of The Forest

Over the years we’ve developed a system. It’s basically this: rake leaves onto huge tarp, drag tarp to giant leaf compost, dump leaves, repeat 100x.

Thankfully it goes quicker now that the girls are older, but I still wish an elf with a giant ride on vacuum/mower would magically appear when the times comes!

It’s my mom’s place.
If we didn’t clear some of the leaves out they’d just pile up and get soggy… become a breeding ground for mosquitoes etc. :)

Claudette: Piper didn’t come this time! She’s a handful, especially when the weather is bad and it’s mucky outside. :)
