Things I am loving: Life brand face wipes

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Oh! Things!

I KNOW. This is neither exciting nor glam. The subject of face wipes is a purely functional one but these are worth mentioning, especially since I spotted them on sales at Shopper’s Drug Mart yesterday.

Face wipes.

They’re lightly scented, are two-sided (one is a bit rougher, but not overly so) and they do exactly what they’re supposed to do.

I use face wipes EXTENSIVELY while we are camping. In fact, they bring a semblance of civilization to the whole “outdoor living” thing. Our campsite is usually a few minutes walk away from the comfort station, so our usual bedtime routines are tweaked. For example, we simply brush our teeth using water in a tin cup. The face wipes represent an adequate replacement for my conventional face washing regimen in a place where there is no running water. As a bonus: and one could also use them to wipe sweaty necks, feet, and armpits in a pinch. (We are roughing it, after all.)

During the rest of the year I don’t use them as much, only when I’m too tired for the whole face wash routine but still need to wipe away the sweat and dust of the day.

To this day we use wipes for all kinds of things. I keep a container of baby wipes (almost the same thing) in the car, for one thing, because…KIDS! They make a mess! Or to wipe off that icky shopping cart feeling after a trip to a grocery store. I keep one in the bathroom as well, and I take one to picnics, or a small travel one on dog walks (because picking up dog poop, especially with larger dogs) is icky.

There are many good reasons to keep a box of wipes around! There aren’t many brands I’d use on my face though… this is one that feels good on my skin so I wanted to share!
