gifts for a girl who’s about to turn seven
Posted by andrea tomkins in: Easy ways to make kids happy|Oh! Things!
Seven is a big deal. Seven is still very much a child, but one who is growing into herself more and more each day. Seven is bright colours and soft fur. Seven is sticky lollipops stuck in the hair and scratched knees. Seven is dancing and singing and jumping without worrying what others think. Seven is unicorns and fairies and wishes on faraway stars. Seven is sunshine and rain.
Seven is special and cannot go unnoticed.
Sarah’s birthday is April 11. I’m already thinking ahead to the party. She really wants a ladybug party. I am sketching out ideas for the invitations. And I have been doing some preliminary surfing and reasearch into cake ideas, games and whatnot. But I’m really excited about is the gifts. I would really like to take a less traditional route with it, such as Etsy. I found myself looking for ladybug related art the other day. Oh, I love this felted ladybug… but the shipping costs are, well, causing me to think twice. It is sweet though. And so tiny. I love tiny.
And would ya look at this incredible FELT CAKE. omg. But it’s sold. Hmm, what about this one instead?
(Oh no! Many of the items I have been coveting are sold out. But the rest of my list will still give you a good idea of the kinds of things I’m thinking about.)
i.e. these ponytail holders and deer hair clips!
And this mouse with its mushroom house!
And this felted bluebird!
And this fairy (she comes with her own house!)
And this acorn (erm, wait, that’s for me)
I really want to give her an excellent party, and one sweet gift.
Oh, how to decide?
