I actually keep this list on my phone but I thought, hey, why gatekeep Ottawa summer fun! This is content I should be sharing!
Here’s what is on my radar so far. Consider this an evolving list:
- “Roper on the River” a three-hour cruise on the Ottawa River in the style (and attitude) of Mrs. Roper. [BOOKED IT]
- Glow in the dark kayaking [BOOKED IT]
- Dinner and cocktails at Tavern on the Gallery
- FOOD TRUCK DINING TBC
- Sports team viewing! I am not super sporty but do appreciate a good sport outing (especially if there are snacks). Will it be an Atlético Ottawa game this summer? Or Ottawa Titans baseball? Or both?
- Picnic at Dow’s Lake
- Local ice cream crawl: Merry Dairy, Moo Shu, ??
- Breakfast at The Grand Pizzeria at Westboro Beach
- Stand up paddle boarding, everywhere possible
- Visit and swim at the NCC River House (I haven’t been yet and we have to make this happen!)
- Day trip to a nearby provincial park that has a dog-friendly beach.
- NCC Sunday Bikedays (oh wait it’s called Weekend Bikedays now)
- Late summer camping (we’re not booked for an Ottawa-area spot but it’s something we are looking forward to!)
