“Would you like to go for a night walk?” The question was posed to Sarah the other night even though I knew what her answer would be… a very emphatic “YES!”
We grabbed our coats, and a couple of ghosties (from Ikea, pictured here), and went on our way.
We walked around the block, to the park (“It’s so different in the dark mummy!”) and came home for a quick hot chocolate before bed.
It doesn’t take very much to make kids happy, does it? In fact, the best things often don’t cost anything at all.

We woke up to a blanket of snow yesterday. Sarah took the first possible opportunity to build a snowman.
Here he is… we jazzed him up with a few little extra images to fit the season:
Parsnips make great horns, don’t you think?
ANYWAY, I’m not letting this sudden cold spell get me down. I’m going to Florida. Yes! I’m being sent on a media junket to Disney. Four nights at the Grand Floridian between November 11 and 14. I am excited. Mark is a little jealous. The girls are a little sad. But they’ll live. :)
My name is Andrea and I live in Ottawa with my husband Mark and our dog Sunny who is kind of a big deal on Instagram. During the day I work as a freelance writer. I am a longtime Ottawa blogger and I've occupied this little corner of the WWW since 1999. The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I'm passionate about healthy living, arts and culture, travel, great gear, good food, and sharing the best of Ottawa. I also love vegetables, photography, gadgets, and great design.
