pretend you own a golf course

Kids are funny.

If a parent ever suggested that their kids set up a pretend golf course they’d scoff at the suggestion.

But give them some colourful paper, a couple of putters, some golf balls (and free run of the basement) they might come up with the idea all by themselves.

Our basement mini-golf had four or five putting obstacles on one side and a “clubhouse” on the other … in which I paid 25 cents for a cup of imaginary coffee. They’ve played the “E & S Restaurant” game with us so often that they’ve actually made $14.00 dollars off the grown-ups. :)

When we were little, my best friend and I set up the basement with big stacks of books and made ourselves an equestrian course to run around and leap over (no books were harmed, I assure you). I remember a lot of giggling.

I can’t believe we never came up with a clubhouse/restaurant idea. That’s brilliant.

That is too cute! I played office worker or something lame when I was a kid. I think your kids would like our blacklight minigolf video on our blog at http://www.bit.ly/HPgs and we have “behind the scenes” photos of how we make our sculptures on line at http://gallery.me.com/giodena#gallery

I hope you all enjoy it!
