The P family photoshoot

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Photography

This photoshoot took place about a month ago and I’m just getting around to posting about it now.

It’s been awhile since I looked at these, but as I flicked through them today all I found myself with a big smile on my face once again.

It was a gorgeous Ottawa morning.

The air was brisk and the sun was bright.

The P’s were great.

I should mention that the P’s are private people and expressed some concern about having their faces splashed all over the internet. So these photos are strategically cropped (and posted with their permission of course).

Their family is a small family: a man, a woman, and their basset hound… who, by the way, was hilarious. A very smart girl who’d do just about anything for a treat. Or a stick.

Her eyes have the ability to turn a stone cold heart into a big mushy puddle of goo.

Her ears were equally irresistible:

And because of her short legs she sometimes required help from the human members of the family:

helping hand!

The P family was lovely; fun, easy-going and easy to photograph.

How is it that I have the good fortune of meeting these wonderful people and getting the opportunity to peek into their lives this way? I am so lucky, that’s what.

Awesome photos, great way to respect their privacy, and their little doggie is so lovely, such beautiful colours, I love fall days in Ottawa.

The Obligatory Blurb

My name is Andrea and I live in the Westboro area of Ottawa with my husband Mark and our dog Piper who is kind of a big deal on Instagram. We also have two human offspring: Emma (24) and Sarah (22). During the day I work as a writer at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. I am a longtime Ottawa blogger and I've occupied this little corner of the WWW since 1999. The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I'm passionate about healthy living, arts and culture, travel, great gear, good food, and sharing the best of Ottawa. I also love vegetables, photography, gadgets, and great design.
