Hanging in, hanging out

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Misc. life

Last night we played Bataclan. Sarah mostly likes stacking the dice.

There was a cold season survivial guide published in the Saturday Ottawa Citizen. It had a few interesing tidbits, and it reminded me that I wanted to try garlic supplements. I was at the Superstore on Sunday morning and decided to pick some up. They’ve done studies that show garlic has amazing immune boosting properties. Just what I need! Sadly, I’ve been burping garlic ever since. That’s not what I need.

The whole family is sick. We all have a cold. Happily, Emma didn’t throw up after her episode yesterday. In fact, she was her old self in no time. Kids are amazing that way.

I couldn’t wait for them to get to bed last night. I was so exhausted. Mark and I have been camping out in front of the TV, watching the first season of Heroes on DVD. Gawd I love that show.

I spent the whole night coughing my head off. It’s a horrible, dry, hacking cough. I sound like a Great Dane in a train tunnel. I woke up this morning, packed the girls lunches, and went back to bed only to wake up in time to run to the hair salon for a long overdue trim & colour. I got bangs, which is something new for me.

Okay. I have got to stop rambling. Back to work. But first, I am heading upstairs for a serious gargle.

The “garlic burpies” are a little better if you take the garlic pills along with food. Or just get the odourless kind.

Health to you and yours!

Ooh! We’re watching season one of heroes on dvd now too. I don’t know how we got by before we had the option of watching these shows without commercials whenever we had time to sit down. I love it! :)
Hope you all feel better soon!
