I have a craving for…
I have a craving for…
It’s after 10:00 a.m. and I haven’t done a stitch of work yet. The girls are off at camp, Mark is at work, and I thought about the reams of things I could/should/would normally be doing as I drank my coffee in the backyard … but I spied a few things worth photographing before I launched into anything serious, namely, the milkweed:
There. I feel better now.
… and we have close to zero plans. The girls are at a day camp this week (this is their second day, and they are LOVING IT) and Mark and I are here at home, working. Bor-ing! Oh well. It brings the bacon, right?
We kind of messed up dinner plans too. Everything is closed and Mark forgot to marinate the flank steak last night. I should have planned something a little more special but totally dropped the ball on that one.
Tonight we may go to see the fireworks, but I’ve been feeling sickly of late, so I’m not sure whether I’ll be able to withstand the energy expenditure.
Our Canada Day so far? It kinda blows.
(Please tell me you’re having a better time where you are!)
My name is Andrea and I live in Ottawa with my husband Mark and our dog Sunny who is kind of a big deal on Instagram. During the day I work as a freelance writer. I am a longtime Ottawa blogger and I've occupied this little corner of the WWW since 1999. The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I'm passionate about healthy living, arts and culture, travel, great gear, good food, and sharing the best of Ottawa. I also love vegetables, photography, gadgets, and great design.
