A bike ride to la belle province – a rather fuzzy conclusion

Posted by andrea tomkins in: - Ottawa for kids|- Westboro|Easy ways to make kids happy

The first two posts in this series are here and here.

On the way home from our Very Long Bike Ride we spied a field of dandelions on the verge of exploding. So of course we had to run through it. They were a still a little damp from a recent rain so the fluff stuck to our legs a little bit. S’ok though.

Where are my ankles?

But then we did That Thing We Often Do When Confronted with a Field of Fluff.

1) Pick a bouquet of dandelions:

Bouquet

Bouquet

2) AND BLOW.

Try not to get any up your nose.

BLOW

3) And/or wave them around madly.

Windstorm

The fun quotient increases exponentially with every person involved and with every bunch of dandelions. Trust me on this.

We were home within a few moments after this little scene, feeling tired and happy and ready for a good snack.

It’s amazing, the sense of accomplishment I get when we do things like this. Even if it’s something as simple as waving a bunch of weeds in the air. :)

The bike ride sounds wonderful and your photos were lovely. I must admit that those last few, made me cringe and start sneezing like mad though. :)

Sounds like you had a blast – luckily you could find those places that were close and open.

Those dandelions just look amazing – very pretty photos. I think we’ve all got an obsession with those flowers when we see them:)
