Bring Spring!

Butterfly art

I have no words left to describe this week’s craft for Canadian Family Magazine, so you will have to go read about it here. :)

But I will say this:

  • The middle part of a butterfly is called a thorax. The bottom is the abdomen. (I like slipping in some science during craft time!)
  • I am thrilled with the results of this craft, and it’s hanging in Sarah’s room right now.
  • I got the butterfly punch for half price (!) at Michaels because I used a coupon app I mentioned in this post.
  • I can’t wait to show you next week’s craft. You will looooooove it.

I guess I did have something to say after all eh?

Happy Friday everyone!

A happy Friday to you too. A neat addition to those butterflies would be to put a motivational quote on each of them.

Great work

Happy spring break!

Don’t you just love all my questions, Andrea.

I have a question about your butterfly punch.
Went to Micheals s and bought one. Not sure if it’s the same as the one you used.
What size were your butterfly? Ours are tiny..
Maybe our canvas is too big?

My Granddaughter painted her canvas purple.
Looks pretty.
I forgot to get the doublesided tape, so back to Micheals after we paint a flower pot at the Mud Oven tomorrow!

Thanks for all yourgteat ideas!
Wendy

Thanks! I love the idea of adding a quote Ian!

And I guess I should have mentioned sizes eh? Oops.
The punched butterfly probably measures just over an inch across and I think the canvas is about 6 x 8.” I hope that helps! Good luck with your project Wendy! Let me know how it turns out… I’d love to see it!
