Quickie Ottawa giveaway: tickets to the Spring Home & Garden Show

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Giveaways and product reviews|Ottawa

This quickie is over and done!

So our big huge reno has been slightly modified and pushed back a tiny bit, but the heavens have smiled upon us and it’s officially underway. An interview with Builder/Contracter #2 is being scheduled as I type. Woot!

We’ve been in renovation mode for two years now and I welcome opportunities to learn about new products, new local businesses and get the 411 on new trends. I also like to know who’s who and what’s what for the different home/design articles I write here and there. That’s where the Ottawa Home & Garden show comes in.

This year’s show is looking really good, and it’s at the new CE Centre!

I’m really looking forward to seeing the “Design Dream Garden” because I too desire a gorgeous low-maintenance outdoor space. :)

Created by Davis Landscape and Design, the 2012 Dream Garden is ideal for empty nesters, young professionals, and those looking for a no-maintenance backyard.
Perfect for hosting a backyard party or BBQ, this garden boasts a beautiful outdoor space featuring an outdoor kitchen and dining area, and a separate seating area with its own outdoor fireplace and spanning five foot water feature. With no grass to cut, and exquisite interlocking provided by Permacon, this 3,000 sq ft. space has been fitted to look and feel like the ultimate luxurious outdoor living and entertainment area.

Oy. Sounds pretty incredible, doesn’t it? I would love a yard like that.

I am still on the lookout for an excellent garden shed. And ideas for the kitchen. And the bathrooms. And furniture! Ack. So yes, I WILL BE GOING.

Would you like to go to the Home & Garden show? I have three pairs of tickets to give away. First people to comment gets them. But please, if you’re going to throw your name into the hat (er, the comments) make sure you’re going to use them. I hate having orphaned tickets kicking around.

Please note the winner will have to pick their tickets up at the show.

Over to you!

Too bad I was slow on this one. Regardless, I am going this year. I am in the middle of renovating my master bathroom, and shockingly, I am not running away screaming from the idea of more renos (yet), haha. I will be going this year, with bells on! I’m looking for all sorts of ideas as I also have one of these older Westboro properties with lots of, ahem, ‘potential’, (read: money pit). See you there!
