Keepin’ kids busy! Idea #3 is rather comic

This was one of the ideas I suggested when I was on CTV Morning Live on behalf of Capital Parent a couple weeks ago.
If your kids are looking for things to do, how about suggesting they organize a comic book swap?
If your kids have as many comic books as mine do you’re probably kicking yourself for not thinking of this idea sooner.
You can make this activity as easy or as intricate as you’d like. For example, your child can design invites and pop them in friends’ mailboxes and serve snacks and make a bit of a party out of it. Or not. But the basic premise is simple: all you need to do is invite a group of kids to meet at a designated place and time with an agreed-upon number of comic books. That’s it!
If they bring ten of their comics, they get to trade them for ten new ones. The kids get to spend some time together and then go home with new reading material. And you know what that means, right? QUIET TIME. I’d say that’s a win-win, don’t you?
