Sarah and I were lying in bed this morning when she turned and felt under her pillow.
“So did the tooth fairy bring you anything?” I asked.
She loosened the strings on her small velvet pouch.
“Yep!” she exclaimed happily, and proudly showed me a two dollar coin. And then she got serious.
“You know how I know there’s a tooth fairy, and not a parent giving me money?” she asked.
“No … ”
“Because you never even give me fifty cents.”
