I spent a very sweaty morning hauling some last things over to the apartment. The list included a wedding dress, a toolbox, toilet brush & holder, and cleaning supplies. You don’t get much more random and disorganized than that, do you? Some day I might even laugh about it.
While I was there I thought it might be interesting to post a quick walkthrough (this is MUCH shorter than the last one), right before demolition begins.
Next on our list: to decide upon the final colours of the exterior, and about a hundred other things.

the movers from Boyd Moving & Storage. I was really impressed by their level of care and service. If you need movers, call Boyd. Seriously. These guys were great.

the painful trip to Ikea to find last-minute curtains last night, after a day of moving
the cinnamon bun
the painful installation of the aforementioned curtains at 10:30 p.m. (Thank you Mark.) Do not talk to me about cutting and hemming because it’s not happening right now. (Even with iron-on hems.)
the trip back to the house to pick up some things we left behind to grab later (cleaning supplies, milk out of the fridge, stuff for lunches)
ANOTHER trip back to the house because someone forgot to pack the electric toothbrush
the fact that the apartment bathroom doesn’t have a single electrical outlet
a sleepless dog
the piles of stuff surrounding me as I type this: teetering towers of cardboard, the miles of packing paper, the scarcity of Things We Need For General Day to Day Use (“Where’s the soap?” etc etc.)
Today I need to finish packing up our pantry and bring it to the apartment, and I need to finish unpacking too. And check a backlog of emails. And eat. And buy groceries. And COOK SOMETHING. Gah.
