a peek inside the fishbowl

We just got back from a fantastic family holiday.

I need to process 399 photos before I pull my thoughts together and tell you more about it. There are a dozen other really amazing things happening right now/coming up soon that I need to jot down too. Egads. WHERE TO START! My head is spinning.

Anyway, the pic below is one of my favourite little one-off shots, taken with my iPhone.

In the meantime, keeping with the theme this week, here are two more Ten Things lists we want to share with you:

Thursday January 21, 2010Ten things we loved about the Dominican Republic:

  • snorkeling
  • the beach
  • the weather
  • the Dominicans (they were so nice!)
  • swimming in the ocean and in the pools
  • the food (… says Sarah. Hmm. I beg to differ, but more on that later.)
  • the music
  • the animals (the lizards! the birds! an octopus in the water!!)
  • Spanish (trying to understand it, the fun of hearing it)
  • the smells (ah, the tropics)

Ten things we missed about home:

  • our beds
  • our pillows (yes, this deserves two bullets)
  • the coffee (says mum and dad)
  • our friends and family
  • our stuff
  • our email, news and information (this one is for mum and dad too)
  • our blog (ok MY blog – I missed you guys!)
  • apples
  • our budgie BB!
  • ice skating (!)

This was not the kind of list in which we could find any common ground, so each of the girls had to make their own. Here goes.
