Second day of school

By andrea tomkins in Photography

The battery in my DSLR was totally dead yesterday morning so I was without a proper camera to document the Big Day. *sigh*

So here are the official “second day of school” photos:

Sarah suggested that it might be a good idea to take a picture of her EVERY MORNING.

“Wouldn’t that be a fun project mummy?” she asked. How does she come up with these crazy ideas?

The first day of school was a big success. Both girls have new teachers and both were very excited to be back. (So was mummy. Oh man. I love my routines.)

Off to do some scouting for a piece I’m working on.

I’m using my phone to snap and upload a photo every hour for the entire day. (The first day of school!)

Scroll down for the most recent pics. I’ll be adding to it all day today.

(The set is also uploaded over here.)

Last day of summer

By andrea tomkins in Misc. life

I woke up with a list in my head, one which included things like Groceries and Laundry and Vistek and Radio Shack (I know it’s not called Radio Shack anymore, but I can’t get used to calling it THE SOURCE).

I’m in a bit of a tizzy wondering what to do with the girls today, on the Last Day of Summer Holidays. I feel the need to make it special, yet The List is looming rather large today, as is my schedule for the month of September. I am waiting for some people to get back to me about things before I contact other people about other things. Gah! I really need to sit down and take a chill pill. ;)

I do have an idea for tomorrow. I’m going to use my iPhone to take (and upload) one photo every hour for the whole day, morning ’til night.

In the meantime, tell me, what are you guys doing today? Celebrating? Organizing? Sharpening pencils? :)
