Sarah would explode if she saw this ADORABLE Mouse House at Pottery Barn Kids. Too bad they don’t ship to Canada. Double too bad Pottery Barn Canada doesn’t have an online catalogue. Wah!!
ETA: J. picked one up for me in Toronto today. Thank you J.!!
* or (as Ikea put it recently), if you don’t celebrate Christmas, where can you find a 5ft air freshener?
Pete dropped off our wreath the other night. I didn’t get to see him, unfortunately, but a bunch of you did! (The blogging world is such a funny place, isn’t it?) Thanks again to those of you who made a purchase. I am duly impressed with your giving spirit.
I’ve never had a live wreath. It smells wonderful. Every time we open the front door we get a good whiff.
And of course the smell of Christmas is reminding me that we need to pick up our tree soon. It’s going to be next week, although I wish I had ours up already. I love what it adds to our house.
We used to get our tree from the Nepean Kiwanis near Mark’s work. I liked the idea that our dollars were going to a worthy cause. Sadly, they got out of the tree business a couple years ago. Last year we got our tree at Ikea. I was a little leery, but it was a beautiful tree. You buy a tree for $20 and get a $20 coupon for purchases over $75 AND (if I’m not mistaken) a percentage goes to Tree Canada.
Do you get a live tree or do you have an artificial one?
We get a real tree every year. Seeing as they’re farmed I have no qualms about someone cutting one down on my behalf. They’re a totally renewable resource.
I am half-considering doing the “U pick” thing at a tree farm this year. I know there are a few pick your own Christmas tree farms around Ottawa. I think there’s one down Fallowfield way. Has anyone found a good one? Would you recommend it or not? Inquiring minds want to know!
“Will it be Monopoly or Mousetrap? Uno or Trouble? It’s family game night”
Sarah got started early with a puzzle.

p.s. this is part of my 25 days of Christmas challenge. It’s never too late to play along. And do consider joining our Flickr group too.
