Your task, should you decide to accept it …

Posted by andrea tomkins in: Yaktivism

I’m going to take a Jamaicabreak for a second to make a special request:

Write an email.

Yes! Really.

Write one (1!) short email to someone you care about. Take two minutes to tell him/her you’re thinking about him/her. Bonus points if you list a few things you admire about that person. I bet it will make their day.

When you’ve done that, come back and let me know when the deed is done.

MY goal is to persuade ten of you to send ten acts of email kindness.

I wonder, how many of you will accept the challenge? ;)

Oh my! Am I the first to take the challenge? I hope you reach your goal of 10. I sent a note to my hubby who was up very late last night doing work and had to get up very early to get to work. Hopefully my little note will help him through what is bound to be a very long day. Thanks for the reminder to end loving emails every once in a while!

Thanks Juls…. someone had to be the first! My email is done too. Now, can nine more people come forward, and spread some easy email happiness?

I did just that this morning to my dad who is working his last day before retiring! I wanted to let him know how special all that he has done in his working life has been and how proud we are of him!
It felt so good to send it!

Done – I remembered the date I had with hubs last night, and just thought about how romantic it was being a wife for a while.

I did it too! I emailed a friend who has moved away and I haven’t spoken to for a few months.

I have to tell you I’ve been meaning to contact an old friend who I don’t get together with often enough and let her know how much her friendship over the years has meant to me. Thank you for posting this because it gave me the kick in the pants to do just that.
