Isn’t it ironic that the photographer hates having her photo taken? :)
If you’re just tuning in, I happen to be having a small nervous breakdown about a photo I need to submit this week.
Can I just say one thing: DAMN THAT WIDOW’S PEAK.
I am leaning heavily towards a cropped version of photo #1 in the previous post. My mother prefers #2. Mark likes #3 but a whole bunch of you don’t. And then there’s the small contingent who don’t like any of them. I’m not sure what do you with you. :) Anyway, Mark took this photo too.
I have been having second thoughts about wearing a white shirt and suit jack combo for this headshot, so I went for a plain collared shirt instead. Kind of matches my bluegreenygrey eyes, doesn’t it? :)
This is the last time I’ll be asking, I swear. What do you think? Is this one better than #1 from below?

This week I need to submit a headshot of myself for an upcoming, um, media thing. I will post details about that soonish, but first I really need you to help me pick a photo.
Andrea Tomkins: CROWDSOURCING HER LIFE.
The look I am aiming for is fun yet serious, professional yet casual, and oh, and OF COURSE smart and funny. *sigh* This will be submitted to local media and might appear ANYWHERE. Ack!
Ok. Here we go. (Please ignore exposure and brightness/contrast issues. Those can be fixed.)
Below is photo #1. I’m smiling! Showing teeth! I think I look friendly. Sadly, my hair is poofy in the back which makes me look mildly unkempt. Or maybe that’s the fun part of this photo?
I had my hair cut/done/looking spiffy yesterday. Why didn’t I do this yesterday?
Did I mention that I was up at 6:00 a.m. today? And haven’t showered? And spent part of the afternoon digging in the garden? Oh yes indeedy.

This is photo #2. Same poof. Complete with large forehead and less smile.

Here’s photo #3. BEFORE I realized I should powder my nose (and no, that’s not a metaphor for anything). Perhaps this one is the most professional and less fun of the bunch. But maybe that’s what I should be going for?
Would you trust this person with your money?

So what do you think? One of these or start over again? Mark did the photography and could be convinced to give it another whirl. Or maybe I should just submit this one instead? HELP!

I came home from a hair appointment and gave Piper some time to roll around in the grass. Cone issues aside, she is pretty happy. (As am I, because my new do ROCKS.)
