Some time ago I received an email from a local lass named Amanda Sage. She was wondering if I’d be interested in reading a children’s book she’d written.
I took a wander through her website and immediately wondered if she was my long lost sister. Amanda is a dynamo … and has successfully taken on the kind of projects that make my heart go ping (as many of you will know!): writing, photography, film-making. (Have you ever met someone whose interests parallel your own in such a big way that it gives you the chills? Well, that’s how I felt peeking into Amanda’s life.)
I was really impressed by the effort she poured into her children’s book – called Dinostory – and I thought you would find her story pretty interesting too. So I asked her if I could ask her a few questions and publish it here. She kindly agreed.

Oh my pretties, these last days have slipped away in a blur. Mark and I have been caring for two sickies here. The girls went down like a couple of dominoes. Sarah went down on Saturday, while we were away at my mother’s for the The Annual Raking of the Forest:
And Emma went down on Sunday.
I am not in top form either, and am struggling to pull my crap together right now. My blog and email were down all weekend. Suffice it to say that without email I felt like a flounder in a fishmarket… anxious and out of my element!
I have photos from two sessions to edit and a pile ‘o other stuff not including a kitchen to tidy and the usual extra large pile of laundry. I don’t know where it comes from, but I do know that I don’t have any matching socks.
I have to interrupt this regularly scheduled bulletin to provide an important public service announcement.
Contrary to recent rumour and speculation on the Twitter network, there is no H & M planned for Place d’Orleans or any other Ottawa location in the foreseeable future.

We currently only offer in-store shopping and do not have online, phone or mail ordering available. Because of this, we do not produce a catalogue either.
