It’s Tuesday, and on Tuesdays I am blogging over at the UsedEverywhere blog. Today I’m writing about a vintage board game we like to play.
That got me thinking about the other toys I desired and admired from afar when I was a kid, so I started poking around YouTube and found a few commercials that brought me back:
We are big on the after dinner stroll here at Casa Fishbowl. You never know who you’re going to meet, or what neat little things you’re going encounter. It’s an adventure EVERY TIME.
The other night we found ourselves walking down to towards Westboro Village. Destination: the Secret Garden a.k.a Maplelawn, a walled-in public garden next to Keg Manor on Richmond Road. Have you ever been?

My name is Andrea and I live in Ottawa with my husband Mark and our dog Sunny who is kind of a big deal on Instagram. During the day I work as a freelance writer. I am a longtime Ottawa blogger and I've occupied this little corner of the WWW since 1999. The Fishbowl is my whiteboard, water cooler, and journal, all rolled into one. I'm passionate about healthy living, arts and culture, travel, great gear, good food, and sharing the best of Ottawa. I also love vegetables, photography, gadgets, and great design.
